The Benefice of

Sue Ryder Care

St Mary’s Church, Potton, is proud to support the work of  St John’s Care Hospice at Moggerhanger by allowing a monthly Parish Lunch to be held in the Church Hall free of charge to the lunch organisers. This is usually at 12-45 on the last Friday of each month  and raises, on average, £4500 a year for the Hospice by providing a range of delicious Home Cooked Lunches to about 60 people, all for a very modest charge.

If you haven’t been to one of these lunches and want to know more about it or would like to help, please contact   Dave Thompson.

Next Parish Lunch: November 24 2017. The Presentation to St John’s Hospice was at the 27 January 2017 lunch, with the proceeds from the 2016 lunches. A record sum of £4,600 was handed over this year!

Church Roof Repair - Just Giving

The roof security has now been up graded and paid for by donations from individuals and some grant money. However, we have now closed our Just Giving Appeal but with a big THANK YOU to all those who gave in our times of need. Many Potton Townsfolk and others with a link to Potton from further afield, came to our aid very quickly and for this we shall always be grateful. Thank you again.

The roof repairs are now complete but the repairs to the damaged masonry will continue for longer. During this time, please keep away from the work area for Health and safety reasons.

LLW Certificate Awards in Sutton Church
